The RSS Editing Controls are a collection of controls that may be used for displaying detailed information within a newsfeed, and for editing the information easily. These controls can work with live newsfeeds on websites (eg blogs), or just as easily with data that is stored on the local hard drive as a file.

The controls can be used independently, or co-operatively by using the RSS Article List as a navigational control, dictating which article is being viewed / edited at any point in time. When used independently, two controls with the same URL are actually attached to the same news feed object. This saves developers from issues arising from two different versions of the same newsfeed in memory at any one time.

• RSS Article List is a live list box of articles from a newsfeed, and may act as a navigation source for the other controls
• RSS Article Editor is more like the body of a form, neatly tucked together into a panel-like control, for editing a single article at a time
• RSS Newsfeed Header Editor is again like the body of a form for editing the header attributes of a newsfeed (such as title and copyright)
• RSS Article Category Editor is a small control for editing the category of a single article, possibly over multiple category domains
• RSS Enclosure Editor handles the referencing of media as enclosures in an article
